Technical Consultant

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced developer who excels at building strong client relationships while delivering custom enterprise applications. You'll work directly with clients to understand their business needs and build tailored solutions using Python and modern web technologies. This role emphasizes client consultation, manufacturing systems, and warehouse/inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client discovery sessions and requirements gathering with stakeholders at all levels
• Design and develop custom ERP applications focused on manufacturing and warehouse operations
• Build MRP systems including production planning, work orders, bill of materials, and inventory management
• Create warehouse management solutions with barcode scanning, lot tracking, and fulfillment workflows
• Develop accounting and financial reporting modules
• Integrate e-commerce platforms (Shopify, etc.) with backend systems
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout implementation and beyond
• Translate complex business requirements into clean, maintainable code
• Provide training and ongoing support to client teams

Required Qualifications

• Must be US-based (Utah strongly preferred)
• Strong client-facing experience - must be comfortable leading meetings and managing relationships
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Technical Skills

• Expert Python proficiency - this is your primary language
• Experience building MRP or manufacturing systems
• Warehouse/inventory management system experience
• Understanding of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Experience with REST APIs and system integrations
• Git version control

Industry Experience (need at least 2)

• Manufacturing operations and MRP workflows
• Warehouse/inventory management and fulfillment
• E-commerce platforms (especially Shopify)
• Accounting/financial systems

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Proven ability to gather requirements and translate to technical specs
• Client relationship management experience
• Professional demeanor with business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• JavaScript/React experience (nice to have, not required)
• Odoo ERP experience
• Experience with Shopify API
• Manufacturing industry knowledge
• Previous consulting experience
